Val di Fassa
The names of the surrounding mountains have German or Ladin origins, an ancient language still deeply rooted in this valley, but they convey through their meaning the beauty and magic of this area. Rosengarten meaning rose garden, Ciampedie fields of God. Spending time here is like being in heaven on earth. The place names, especially the ancient ones, never lie. Then to the north: the Sella Group and the Queen of them all, the Marmolada with its glacier, that looks like a bride’s veil floating down towards the valley. The Avisio torrent is born out of its snow and then crosses the valley until it reaches the Adige valley.
In this setting you can have a different and serene experience. It’s all in the names.
